Like many of you all, I am an interloper to Washington, D.C. I have come to this cute little town starry-eyed and eager to throw myself into a life of service to better the world… which means my bleeding heart is at times worked to the bone as an underemployed entry-level, or working in the hospitality industry to pay bills. Naturally. Somehow, I am still loving every minute of it.

I have quickly caught my bearings in my new home, and fall in love with DC more each day. The sites, the food, the activity, the people– the people! It’s exactly where I belong.

I am a 20-something female with ambitious dreams, geek chic fashion, and a passionately single lifestyle. Now that I have a few solid social circles to run in, I have branched out to more-than-platonic exploits. Talking with others about the social and dating culture of DC has been fascinating, amusing, and at times VERY confusing. As a fresh perspective on the scene, examining my experiences has been incredibly entertaining for myself and my friends. I am not dating any one person, nor am I seeing no one– I am just too in love with Washington D.C. On here, I will shed light on the variety of experiences the city has to offer, showcase others’ perspectives, and attempt to puzzle together the ins and outs of the Washingtonian lifestlye.
